What is Vital Victoria?

After 16 years of publishing Vital Signs reports, the Victoria Foundation is pleased to be introducing an online data site as part of the Vital Signs program — called Vital Victoria — that includes over 60 indicators on the quality of life in Greater Victoria and its demographics.

Along with historical data on many of the indicators published over the years, Vital Victoria includes definitions for the indicators, data sources, and web links. It also includes news and reports related to the indicators and issue areas, the Sustainable Development Goals they relate to, and a feature series on this year’s Vital Signs theme of equity and inclusion.

We’re pleased to be offering this new digital platform of community knowledge that increases online access to data.

The site also includes links to Victoria’s Vital Signs report, which measures the vitality of our region, identifies significant trends and captures citizen grades in twelve issue areas critical to our quality of life.
