Community in Focus: Environmental Sustainability

The City Nature Challenge is an international event that encourages people to find and document wildlife in their cities. It was started in 2016 as a competition between San Francisco and Los Angeles and grew into its current international status. The Capital Region District placed first in Canada for observations and for species found. The CRD had 368 observers who contributed 7,676 observations of 1,305 different species.
